<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an IC socket which can be manipulated easily and surely with reduced force of manipulation and which, while making it possible to restrict increase in the number of components and complication of structure to cut down on costs, can firmly hold an IC in place with stable holding force. <P>SOLUTION: An IC socket 11 is designed to make a lever 41 rotatable between an IC non-pressing position at which an IC package 20 is detachable and an IC pressing position at which the IC package 20 is pressed. When the lever 41 is present at the IC non-pressing position, the rotation axis O of the lever 41 is disposed on the outside relative to the IC package 20 in a plan view, and, as the lever 41 is rotated from the IC non-pressing position to the IC pressing position, the rotation axis O of the lever 41 moves, along with the movement of a pinion part 42 relative to a rack part 47, to an upper part of the IC package 20, whereby the lever 41 presses the IC package 20 to hold it in place. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
