PURPOSE: A high speed bicycle for a tandem is provided to drive with one person even though two people get on the bicycle because a rotational method and weight of a pedal are lightly made. CONSTITUTION: A high speed bicycle for a tandem comprises free gears(11,12,13) installed in pedal shafts(30,40). The free gears can be used by turns to take a rest one of two men. Pulley chain gears(7,8,9) applying a principle of a chain block are integrated into the free gears so that the weight of the bicycle can be lighted. The free gears are formed to use regardless of speed of the bicycle at high and low speed.
