<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an MRI apparatus with more uniform static magnetic field. <P>SOLUTION: The MRI apparatus includes: a static magnetic field generation part 21 which is disposed outside a bore tube 23 and generates the static magnetic field to a subject P supplied into the bore tube 23; a gradient magnetic field generation part 22 arranged in a decompressible space S between the static magnetic field generation part 21 and the bore tube 23, and provided with a main coil 221 for generating a gradient magnetic field and a shield coil 222 disposed outside the main coil 221 for preventing the leakage of the gradient magnetic field; a shim tray 24 disposed at the gradient magnetic field generation part 22; and a sealing cover 25 fixed to the static magnetic field generation part 21 for closing between the static magnetic field generation part 21 and the bore tube 23.
