Provided is an apparatus for manufacturing a workpiece stack, in which a plate-shaped metallic material is punched to form a plate-shaped workpiece having a predetermined shape, and a plurality of the plate-shaped workpieces are stacked to form a workpiece stack, the apparatus comprising: a die for punching a metallic material; a stacking jig moving mechanism for moving a stacking jig to a stacking position at which the plate-shaped workpieces are stacked; a holding mechanism for holding the plate-shaped workpieces formed by punching at a holding position, which is different from the stacking position, until the number of plate-shaped workpieces held reaches a preset number; and a knock-out mechanism for, when the number of plate-shaped workpieces held by the holding mechanism reaches the preset number, knocking out the plate-shaped workpieces in the punching direction, so that the plate-shaped workpieces are stacked on the stacking jig placed at the stacking position.
