<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve focus detection accuracy of an image pickup device having a focus detection function. <P>SOLUTION: An image pickup device 1 includes: a plurality of imaging pixels 10R, 10G, 10B that capture a subject image formed by an optical system and output an image signal; a plurality of focus detecting pixels 11 that receive a pupil-divided and transmitted light flux of the optical system through a light-receiving aperture W11 and output a focus detection signal; and a plurality of focus detecting pixels 12 that receive light through a light-receiving aperture W12 and output a focus detection signal; those pixels being in a rectangular shape and arranged obliquely inclined relative to the x-direction. The focus detecting pixels 11, 12 are arranged so that one diagonal line of the pixels is matched with the x-direction, and the light-receiving apertures W11, W12 are symmetrically arranged with respect to the other diagonal line T2 so as to extend from the periphery of the other diagonal line to the periphery of the top of the rectangular shape of the pixel. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
