<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet conveying system and an image forming system capable of reducing the size of the whole system, electricity consumption and noise. <P>SOLUTION: Control is conducted to convert the amount of a variation in a detected angle by an uppermost sheet detecting means 16 at the upstream end from the state that the uppermost sheet detecting means 16 is contacts with an uppermost sheet 2A positioned at a reference position to the state after a sheet attracting/conveying means 12 attracts and conveys the uppermost sheet 2A a given number of times into the thickness of M sheets ("M" represents a positive number), and then to store the amount. After a following/contact roller 16D is retracted from a detecting position where the roller is in contact with the uppermost sheet 2A to a non-detecting position where it is not in contact with the uppermost sheet 2A, a placing tray 11A is lifted by an amount corresponding to N number (N=aM, (a) represents the number of 1 or larger) calculated based on the stored thickness of the M sheets each time the sheet attracting/conveying means 12 attracts and conveys the N number of the uppermost sheet 2A from a stack of sheets 2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
