摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the occurrence of busy shift or shift shock caused by up-shift performed immediately after finishing down-shift, in the travelling state of low responsiveness to a pre-read vehicle speed. <P>SOLUTION: This shift control device for an automatic transmission, which has a shift map specified by an engine load and a vehicle speed and partitioned into shift stage regions with shift lines, controls a shift stage depending on which region on the shift map an operated state represented by the engine load and the vehicle speed is situated in. The device controls shift to a shift stage higher than a second shift stage (S6, S7) when the engine load is increased to require kick-down from a first shift stage, namely, when the second shift stage computed in accordance with the shift map from the operated state specified by the pre-read vehicle speed after a predetermined time period is lower than the first shift stage (S4) and the pre-read vehicle speed is higher than a predetermined vehicle speed (S5). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
