<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To appropriately deal with the exchange and removal of a flash memory. <P>SOLUTION: A storage device includes identification information storage means, positional information storage means, determination means and control means. The identification information storage means stores a plurality of items of identification information identifying a nonvolatile memory to be accessed from a host. The positional information storage means stores positional information identifying a defective region in the nonvolatile memory. The determination means determines whether or not each of pieces of identification information stored in a plurality of nonvolatile memories connected to the storage device itself is coincident with any one of the plurality of pieces of identification information stored in the identification information storage means. In the case where the determination means determines that the identification information in the nonvolatile memory is not coincident with any one of the plurality of pieces of identification information stored in the identification information storage means, the control means suppresses utilization of positional information in a defective region stored in the positional information storage means for a nonvolatile memory identified by non-coincident identification information, and suppresses access from the host to such a nonvolatile memory. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
