Said method includes: receiving a management indication corresponding to a virtual linkage group, wherein virtual linkage groups are divided off from one another according to the requirements of the service; determining the objects of said virtual linkage group, wherein the objects of said virtual linkage group are a group of processes, groupware, single boards or frames satisfying the requirements of the service; performing unified management on the objects of said virtual linkage group according to said management indication. Said device includes: a reception module, a first determination module and a management module. By dividing off the virtual linkage groups from one another according to the requirements of the service, making a group of processes, groupware, single boards or frames, which satisfies the requirements of the service, as the objects of one virtual linkage group, and performing the management on the service in the unit of the virtual linkage group after receiving the management indication corresponding to the virtual linkage group, the present invention cannot only perform, on the basis of satisfying the requirements of the service, efficient management on the service, but also enhance the flexibility of the service management.
