The station (10) has a communication interface (24) communicating a charging parameter and/or a monitoring parameter. The station produces andchanges the charging parameter and/or the monitoring parameter based on preset test requirements. A pilot signal module (25) produces a pilot signal with a preset frequency, a duty cycle and a voltage level relative to an earth conductor voltage based on the test requirements, and signalizes the signal at a terminal (24-1) of the interface. A switch unit (22) partially electrically couples and decouples an energy supply input (12) and a load output (14). An independent claim is also included for an adapter device comprising a power connector element for a charging station.
