The clutch (10) has a pinion (20) connected with a spindle (18) for adjusting false spacing between a pressing plate (12) and a counter plate. An operating member (28) i.e. cup spring, axially moves the pressing plate, and a ratchet metal plate (30) comprises a drive ratchet (22) that is engaged with the pinion for rotating the pinion. A locking ratchet (36) is engaged into a periphery part of the pinion for inhibiting reverse rotation of the spindle. The locking ratchet is directly or indirectly connected with a clutch cover (29) or the operating member.
