<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving-assistance display device that displays an imaging extent necessary for parking and makes it easy to be aware of the actual width of the vehicle when parking a vehicle by driving forwards or in reverse. <P>SOLUTION: In a figure, 20 is a main screen that displays a wide area behind the vehicle. 21-3 is a sub-screen that displays the vicinity of the vehicle 1, the sub-screen displaying a viewpoint-transformed image that looks directly downwards from a virtual viewpoint. The display extent at the bottom of the sub-screen 21-3 is just enough such that an appropriate amount of the thickness of the imaged bumper 13 of the vehicle is displayed after the viewpoint transformation, and the width of the sub-screen has a cut-out shape that extends widthwise out to the width of the vehicle, taking into account the reduced scale of the displayed image. The display extent at the right and left sides of the sub-screen, excepting the bumper 13 section, is enough such that a sufficient amount of the imaged surroundings are displayed. Also, the sides of the cut-out shape are rounded. 22-3 is a mask that covers the space between the main screen 20 and the sub-screen 21-3, and the taken image is not displayed in the mask region. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
