<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving support apparatus in which a style of support for a driver can be varied in accordance with a situation around a present vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: A driving support apparatus includes imaging means which images a traveling road surface of a present vehicle, partition line detection means which detects at least one of lines drawn at a right side and a left side of a traveling lane, support means which supports driving along the traveling lane by controlling the present vehicle on the basis of the right-side partition line and the left-side partition line detected by the partition line detection means, detection means which detects a following vehicle behind the present vehicle on the traveling lane, calculation means which calculates at least a first relative distance and a first relative speed of the following vehicle detected by the detection means for the present vehicle, and variation means which varies a style of control that the support means performs on the present vehicle, in accordance with whether the first relative distance and the first relative speed satisfy a predetermined first condition. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
