<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for treating sludge, which recognizes operation conditions of a solid-liquid separator using a simple index having reliability and certainty, controls the operation elements of the solid-liquid separator on the basis of the index, makes the solid-liquid separator exhibit high solid-liquid separation performance, and can stably and securely perform sludge treatment, in sludge treatment such as sludge concentration and sludge dehydration. <P>SOLUTION: The apparatus for treating sludge is constituted of: the solid-liquid separator 1 of subjecting the sludge to solid-liquid separation into a separation liquid and a separation object; a sludge feed tube 14 of feeding the sludge to the solid-liquid separator 1; and an ORP (Oxidation-Reduction Potential) meter 30 of measuring the oxidation-reduction potential of the separation liquid. The apparatus further includes: a flocculant injection tube 10a of injecting a flocculant into the sludge; and a controller 31 of controlling the injection of the flocculant into the sludge and/or the operation of the solid-liquid separator 1 on the basis of the measured value of the ORP meter 30. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
