<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a near infrared shielding film which can attain a desired adhesion characteristic in a short time without aging after lamination of an adhesive layer and has high durable performance, and a near infrared shielding body using the same. <P>SOLUTION: The near infrared shielding film has a near infrared absorbing adhesive layer laminated on a transparent base film, and the near infrared absorbing adhesive layer contains 80 to 99 mass parts of a modified (meth)acrylic polymer and 1 to 20 mass parts of a carboxylic acid component having a polymerizable unsaturated group so as to contain 100 mass parts of them in total and furthermore contains 1.0 to 2.5 mass parts of a diimonium salt compound having a prescribed structure, 0.1 to 1.0 mass parts of a photoinitiator, and 0.1 to 2.0 mass parts of a silane compound.
