<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transfer member for silicon melt, which is suitably used in such a case that the transfer direction of the silicon melt is required to be changed on the way of a transfer passage between respective steps, in a refining process of a silicon raw material by a metallurgy method, and to provide a method for manufacturing the same. <P>SOLUTION: The transfer member for silicon melt is formed by joining end parts of a plurality of C/C composite plates having a thickness of 5-10 mm, and has a direction changing part for changing the transfer direction of the silicon melt on the way of a transfer passage. A joining part where two C/C composite plates are joined to each other at a prescribed angle is fixed by driving connection tools each having a shaft part with a diameter of 3-8 mmϕ and a length of 7.5-32 mm into the plates at an interval of 4-50 mm.
