CEREBRAL THROMBECTOMY CATHETER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cerebral thrombectomy catheter.

SOLUTION: An elongate tubular body 12 extends between a rotatable cutter and a control apparatus 18. The cutter is coupled with the control apparatus 18 by a rotatable element. A vaccum is applied in an annular passage prescribed between the tubular body 12 and the rotatable element. The tubular body 12 has an outer diameter small enough to navigate to at least an M3 part of a middle cerebral artery through an internal carotid artery, and sufficient kink resistance and pushability.
