<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a packing material having superior workability when packing objects to be packed. <P>SOLUTION: One of protrusions 21 has a first standing surface 61 standing up from a covering section 19, facing toward a direction W2 and extending along one direction D. Other one of the protrusions has a second standing surface 62 standing up from the covering section 19, facing toward a direction W1 and extending along the one direction D. A first bent flap 51 has a first edge 71 oppositely arranged at the first standing surface 61 and brought into abutment with the first standing surface 61, and a second bent flap 52 has a second edge 72 oppositely arranged at the second standing surface 62 and brought into abutment with the second standing surface 62.
