<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that prevents the occurrence of color shift or density unevenness to provide more stable and high-quality printing. <P>SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes: a plurality of image carriers; a plurality of developing means that carry out developing operation to the image carriers to form toner images; an intermediate transfer body to which the toner images are primary-transferred; and a control part that controls the drive of the respective means.
