<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve life cycle and charge efficiency of a secondary battery of a power storage device when using power from the power storage device which is charged with power generated in a power generation device for power supply during power saving operation. <P>SOLUTION: In an image processing device, two secondary batteries 51 and 52 which are charged with power generated in a solar cell 71 are provided, and a power saving controller 13, while charging one of the two secondary batteries 51 and 52, discharges the other one as power during power saving, and controls so as to alternately switch between a discharge side and a charge side when remaining battery level on the discharge side becomes lower than a predetermined level. By this charge/discharge operation, a number of repetitions of charge/discharge cycle is reduced, and the charge side is kept in a constantly charged state regardless of an operation state (power saving/normal) of equipment, thereby life cycle and charge efficiency of the secondary batteries 51 and 52 can be improved. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
