<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus configured to bring into focus by a focusing operation through single AF if there is any possibility that a focal point set by continuous AF has not been focused, and to provide a focus adjustment method for the imaging apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: In a case when a focusing operation is received in a focus operating section 121 during focus control exerted by a continuous AF control section 141, focus control is exerted by a single AF control section 142. The continuous AF control section 141 is configured to have as a focal point the position of a focus lens 171, at which a sharpness value is maximum by a hill climb process based on the sharpness value of an image signal generated by an imager 172. The single AF control section 142 is configured to have as a focal point the position of the focus lens 171, at which the sharpness value of the image signal generated by the imager 172 is maximum by moving the focus lens 171 within a predetermined range. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
