<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize retrieval processing which is easy to understand and more flexible and allows selection by intuitive operations, in selecting a desired image among extensive image data. <P>SOLUTION: The processing includes: selecting an image area by gesture input for an image displayed on a display: extracting characteristic items of the image in the selected area; displaying, on the display, image characteristics as key values characterizing the image; selecting keys by further gesture input; and retrieving image data based on the keys. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
