<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device which secures the cooling capacity of a cooling unit to display an image continuously. <P>SOLUTION: A display device 1 comprises: a display unit 12; an illumination unit 13 for illuminating the display unit 12; a cooling unit 30 which cools at least one of the illumination unit 13 and the display unit 12 and includes an expansion unit 34 for expanding a cooling medium; a detection unit for detecting temperature of the cooling medium expanded by the expansion unit 34; and a control unit 16 for controlling output of the illumination unit 13 according to the detection result of the detection unit. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
