<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a range finder capable of producing an accurate measurement result by avoiding a user's erroneous handling. <P>SOLUTION: A range finder 100 includes: a housing 10; a ranging section 20 provided in the housing for noncontactly measuring a distance to a target using an optical beam; at least one measurement origin 50A-50D provided on the housing so as to be selectable by a user; an operation button 30 provided on the housing and configured to operate at least the ranging section 20; and a display 40 provided on the housing associated with the operation button and displaying a control condition, and/or a measurement distance from the measurement origin to the target. The range finger further includes at least one visually recognizable means on the housing separately from the display, the visually recognizable means corresponding one-to-one with the measurement origins 50A-50D and becoming active when either of the measurement origins is selected. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
