<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To carry out an energy saving operation irrespective of whether positional information can be acquired or not. <P>SOLUTION: A fuel saving operation system is provided with: a positional information acquisition unit 11 for acquiring the positional information of a vehicle; a data base 21 in which gradient information of a road is stored; a fuel restriction unit 19 for restricting the supply quantity of fuel to the engine of the vehicle; and a travelling distance calculation unit 18 for calculating the travelling distance of the vehicle from a position where the positional information of the vehicle is detected last on the basis of the velocity of the vehicle when the positional information is not acquired by the positional information acquisition unit 11. When the positional information is acquired by the positional information acquisition unit 11, the gradient information corresponding to the acquired positional information is acquired from the database 21 to perform fuel restriction. When the positional information is not acquired by the positional information acquisition unit 11, the gradient information corresponding to a position separated by the travelling distance calculated by the travelling distance calculation unit 18 from a position where the positional information of the vehicle is detected last is acquired from the database 21 to perform the fuel restriction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
