The present invention relates to hydrotalcite in which calcium (Ca) is substituted for some of the divalent metal component that forms the cationic layer in a hydrotalcite type of layered complex metal hydride. The present invention also relates to a synthetic resin composition comprising the hydrotalcite particles. The hydrotalcite particles according to the present invention not only have a good mean diameter but also greatly improve effects such as the thermal stability and staining prevention of the synthetic resin.
