摘要 Provided are: an electrode material with which electronic conductivity can be improved, and with which, when an electrode active material obtained by forming a carbonaceous coating film on a surface is used as an electrode material, there is little variation in the amount of carbonaceous coating film that is supported; and a method for producing the electrode material. Such an electrode material comprises an aggregate obtained by aggregating an electrode active material obtained by forming a carbonaceous coating film on a surface. The average particle diameter of the aggregate is 0.5 µm to 100 µm. The volume density of the aggregate is 50 vol% to 80 vol% of the volume density when the aggregate is treated as a solid. At least 80% of the surface of the electrode active material is covered by the carbonaceous coating film, or, is an aggregate obtained by aggregating electrode active material particles obtained by forming the carbonaceous coating film on the surface. The average particle size of the aggregate is 0.5 µm to 100 µm. The pore size (D50) when the cumulative volume percentage of the pore size distribution of the aggregate is 50% is 0.1 µm to 0.2 µm. The porosity of the aggregate is 15 vol% to 50 vol% relative to the volume when the aggregate is regarded as a solid.
