<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a document image generating apparatus which generates an image of a document to which supplemental explanation information such as a translation of words and a collocation is added, the document image generating apparatus being capable of generating an image in which deterioration in visibility of the supplemental explanation information is suppressed, and a document image generating method. <P>SOLUTION: A document image generating apparatus 1 includes attached information determination means 115 including length determination means 116, line beginning/line ending determination means 117, termination position setting means 118, and start position setting means 119. A translation that the length determination means 116 determines to be longer in length than words or a collocation is added at a position between lines in the vicinity of the words or collocation for which the translation should be arranged in the vicinity when the line beginning/line ending determination means 117 determines that the translation is at the beginning or ending, and the termination position setting means 118 and start position setting means 119 determine an arrangement position in a direction along the line of the translation at a position including a position between lines extended from the beginning or ending of the line by a predetermined length. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
