<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wireless base station and a wireless communication method which can quickly and securely start and terminate hand over of a terminal to the optimal base station and stably maintaining communication when the terminal is to be handed over. <P>SOLUTION: While a base station A communicates with a communication terminal 2, the base station A monitors wireless signals transmitted by the communication terminal 2. When the base station A detects degradation in reception quality of the wireless signals received from the communication terminal 2, the base station A instructs peripheral base stations B to D to monitor the wireless signals from the communication terminal 2. When the base station A receives reception quality information on the wireless signals of the communication terminal 2 from the peripheral base stations B to D, the base station A selects the optimal base station based on the reception quality information, and instructs the communication terminal 2 to start hand over to the selected base station. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
