An electronic flashgun comprises lower and upper parts 1 and 2 joined by a rigid member 3, which engage respectively the bottom, top and back of a camera 18 attached thereto. The lower part 1 may contain a battery 9, storage capacitor 10 and transformer 11, and have a guideway 17 in which is secured a screw (26) for screwing into the tripod thread (27) of the camera. The upper part 2 may contain a discharge lamp 5, reflector 4 and printed circuit 7, and have a foot 15 with a flash contact 16, for sliding in the camera accessory shoe (28). Member 3 may have leaf springs which engage the camera or may be used as an interchangeable camera back (20); it may also support or contain electric leads 12 and 13 for connecting the parts 1 and 2.</p> |
