The method involves increasing two linear damping force curves (1, 2) as a function of a piston speed between 0 and 1 meter per second, where the curve comprises a linear running region (1') that exhibits speed values greater than or equal to 0 meter per second, and another linear running region (2') that exhibits the values lesser than or equal to 1 meter per second. The curves in the latter region are provided with smaller gradient than in the former region, where gradient in a characteristic point in a transition region (4') between the two regions is smaller than that of the former region.
