<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily attach a cover to a probe to be used for ultrasonic diagnosis. <P>SOLUTION: A film 12 is placed in an extended state between a feed roll 14 and a take-up roll 16, and held by two plates 38, 42. When a probe 60 is then pressed onto the film, a cutout portion 20A is extended and deformed along a probe head. A perforation 18 is formed in the film 12, and a fracture is caused along the perforation 18 at a fixed tension.
