<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aqueous composition that contains a polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) resin and an anionic colloidal silica, wherein a film obtained by applying the aqueous composition to a support and drying it is excellent in glossiness and high in viscosity stability. <P>SOLUTION: The aqueous composition contains the PVA resin (A) and the anionic colloidal silica (B), wherein: the PVA resin (A) contains a cation-modified PVA (A1) and a native PVA (A2); the content of a cationic group to the whole structural unit of the PVA resin (A) is 0.1-0.4 mol%; and the content of the native PVA (A2) to the total amount of the PVA resin (A) is 10-50 wt.%. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
