<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel medical agent which exhibits a stable allergy inhibiting effect by using a material derived from natural matter, and a food product, drink or cosmetic product containing the same. <P>SOLUTION: The allergy inhibitor which is effective for treatment or prevention of an allergic disease such as a chronic skin disease contains chlamydomonas alga as an active ingredient. As the chlamydomonas alga, chlamydomonas W80 strain (FERM P-18474) is preferred. The chlamydomonas alga preferably has a form of dry powder.
