<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide crystalline silica sol which has a small average particle diameter (1 μm or less) and crystallinity and is preferably usable as an abrasive (in particular, an abrasive for finish polishing). <P>SOLUTION: The crystalline silica sol having crystallinity and an average particle diameter of 1 μm or less includes silica fine particles wherein a standard deviation of particle distribution is 10 nm or more.
