The invention relates to a method and apparatus for verifying the authenticity of an issued document using a barcode, by printing an address of a verification server as a barcode on the issued document for verifying the authenticity of the issued document, and immediately importing and displaying a copy file of the issued document when a barcode image is captured by a camera of a mobile terminal. The method comprises: (a) a step in which the mobile terminal captures the image of the barcode printed on the issued document, and inputs the image; (b) a step in which the mobile terminal extracts the address of the verification server and authentication information of the issued document from the barcode image; (c) a step in which the mobile terminal transmits the authentication information of the issued document to the extracted address of the verification server and makes a request for a copy file of the issued document; (d) a step in which the verification server authenticates the received authentication information of the issued document and transmits the copy file of the issued document to the mobile terminal; and (e) a step in which the mobile terminal receives the copy file and displays the received copy file on the display thereof via an issued document viewer installed in the mobile terminal. According to the above-described method and apparatus of the present invention, the barcode in which the address of the verification server is encoded, is read to access the verification server, thereby eliminating the necessity of inputting the address of the verification server for verifying the authenticity of issued documents, and enabling the quick and convenient verification of a large volume of issued documents. |
