<p>A medium storing and advancing device has a drum (1), reels (2, 3), and conveyance rollers (11a, 11b). Tapes (4, 5) are advanced from the reels (2, 3). The rollers (11a, 11b) feed a medium (9) between the tapes (4, 5). The drum (1) rotates in one direction (A) to wind up the medium (9) together with the tapes (4, 5). The drum (1) rotates in the other direction (B) to advance the medium (9) together with the tapes (4, 5). The rollers (11a, 11b) are located between both side edges of each of the tapes (4, 5) in the width direction of the tapes (4, 5). While the medium (9) having a cut located on the outer side of each of both side edges of each of the tapes (4, 5) is advanced from the drum (1), the rollers (11a, 11b) do not make contact with the portions of the medium (9) each of which is located on the outer side of each of the cuts of the medium (9), and in this way the medium (9) is prevented from being torn when being advanced.</p> |
