The tool (1) has an electronic drain valve (EDV) system (2) for tool management for integration of a set of cutting tools in a cyclic process. A software is installed in the EDV system to store master data of writable chips (4) e.g. radio frequency identification (RFID) transponder, where the master data of the chips are linked with wear-relevant tool data in form of updates, where cumulative tool data of one life period of the tool is combined with cumulative tool data of additional life periods of the tool into a personal record data file of the tool by the software of the EDV system.
