PURPOSE: A printer and operating method thereof are provided to enhance the image persistence by increasing an ink-web adhesion and the coherence of an ink layer by a spreader. CONSTITUTION: A printer comprises a first ink storage part, a first level sensor, a second ink storage part, a second level sensor, a print head(78), a base conveying part, and a controller. The first ink storage part accepts liquid ink. The first level sensor arranged inside the first ink storage part confirms a level of liquid ink inside the first ink storage part. The second ink storage part accepts liquid ink. The second level sensor arranged inside the second ink storage part confirms a level of liquid ink inside the second ink storage part.
