YARN, ESPECIALLY THREAD OR EMBROIDERY THREAD, AND METHOD OF PRODUCING SUCH YARN

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a yarn, especially a thread or an embroidery thread, and to provide a method of producing the yarn.

SOLUTION: A yarn 9 has a core yarn structure having at least one core consisting of multifilament yarns 6 and a coating fiber 13 made of staple fiber yarns 1. The yarn 9 is suitable especially for a sewing thread or an embroidery thread. At least a portion of fibers composing the staple fiber yarn 1 of the coating fiber 13 are bundled between the filaments of the at least one multifilament yarn 6 of the core in an axis direction over an overall fiber length of the fibers or over a part of fiber length of the fibers. A method of producing the yarn is also provided.
