<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a honeycomb structure, which includes a degreasing step capable of properly degreasing the honeycomb formed body containing an inorganic particle whose specific surface area is relatively large. <P>SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing a honeycomb structure includes a step of forming a honeycomb molded body which contains an inorganic particle having a specific surface area of ≥50 m<SP POS="POST">2</SP>/g and a forming aid and/or an organic binder, and in which a plurality of cells extending from a first end surface to a second end surface in the longitudinal direction of the honeycomb formed body are partitioned by cell walls, a step of arranging the honeycomb formed body in a degreasing apparatus so that the first end surface is the lower side and the second end surface is the upper side, a step of supplying an introducing gas into the degreasing apparatus, a step of degreasing the honeycomb formed body at a temperature of 200°C to 400°C, and a step of firing the degreased honeycomb formed body at a temperature of 500°C to 900°C to obtain a honeycomb unit. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
