<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of jagged edges and associated false colors on a display device including a delta array of RGB light emitting elements having two types of different optical characteristics. <P>SOLUTION: A display device includes: light emitting elements of cyclic colors arrayed in the row direction; pixel circuits each of which supplies a current to two light emitting elements having light emitting regions different in optical characteristics; and a processing circuit which processes image data and transmits the image data to the pixel circuits. Each pixel circuit and two light emitting elements connected to the pixel circuit are disposed so as to be shifted from a reference position, where the pixel circuits and two light emitting elements respectively connected thereto cyclically appear in turn, by 1/2 row in the column direction in every color cycle. The processing circuit transmits, to the pixel circuit at the reference position, image data corresponding to the row and column of the pixel circuit, and transmits, to a pixel circuit that is disposed being shifted by 1/2 in the column direction, image data that is a mixture of the image data corresponding to the row and the column of that pixel circuit and image data corresponding to the same column in a row neighboring the column in which the pixel circuit is disposed being shifted by 1/2 row. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
