<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a further larger free space than by simply evicting image data not in use from a cache memory when a storage area for image data of a document element is to be secured in the cache memory. <P>SOLUTION: When an area securement request is received from an RIP part 120, a cache management part 130 evicts from the cache memory 140 image data of a document element which is lower in cache priority than the document element of an object of the request and not currently used, referring to an entry management table 132. When a free space is not enough even by this, image data of all document elements lower in cache priority than the document element of the request object and not currently used by any of data processing apparatuses is evicted from the cache memory 140, whereby the free space is enlarged. For the RIP part 120 which is using the image data evicted, the cache memory 140 is temporarily made to overflow in capacity to secure the area, or the like measures are taken. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
