<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery control system capable of suppressing a complication of a charge/discharge control process even when the number of battery packs are changed in an electric vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: Slave battery ECUs 20b and 20c transmit characteristics (a present value of the rated capacity and a present value of the charge capacity) of sub battery packs corresponding to themselves to a master battery ECU 20a. The master battery ECU 20a calculates, from the present value of the rated capacity and the present value of the charge capacity that are transmitted from the slave battery ECUs 20b and 20c, and from a present value of the rated capacity and a present value of the charge capacity of a main battery pack, a present value of the total rated capacity and a present value of the total charge capacity, and then transmits them to a charge/discharge control ECU 50. The charge/discharge control ECU 50 performs a charge/discharge control by using the present value of the total rated capacity and the present value of the total charge capacity. Therefore, the charge/discharge control ECU 50 can perform a charge/discharge control by the same control logic regardless of the number of battery packs. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
