<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sterile water producing apparatus capable of securing safety against hydrogen generated in an electrolytic bath. <P>SOLUTION: The sterile water producing apparatus 10 includes the electrolytic bath 12 having a pair of electrodes 18 consisting of an anode and a cathode disposed therein, a controller 20 for producing the sterile water from water stored in the electrolytic bath 12 by applying voltage to the electrodes 18, a float 22 floating on the surface of the water in the electrolytic bath 12 and moving up and down in accordance with the variation of a water level in the electrolytic bath 12, a magnet member 24 disposed on the float 22, a lead switch 26 which is disposed on the upper part of the electrolytic bath 12 and switches voltage on/off for the electrodes 18 according to approach and leaving of the magnet member 24 and a hole 30 on the upper surface of the electrolytic bath 12.
