A method of detecting a cell spot of a first base station (1502) in a cellular wire-less communication network (100) using a mobile device (102) being moved through the cell spot, the method comprising: performing a first handover of the mobile device from a second base station (1500) to the first base station; determining (302) a first value, the first value being indicative of a distance between the mobile device and the first base station; determining (302) if the first value is above a first threshold; performing a second handover (1000) of the mobile device from the first base station; determining (308) a second value based on the time between the first and the second handover; determining (308) if the second value is below a second threshold; storing (312) information being indicative of the cell spot if the first value is above the first threshold and the second value is below the second threshold; and rejecting a subsequent handover request for performing a handover from the second base station to the first base station, if the information is stored.
