Provided is an inrush current suppression device capable of suppressing a magnetizing inrush current that can occur because residual magnetic flux and constant magnetic flux are at variance. This device is provided with a residual magnetic flux calculation unit (51) that maintains the breaking characteristics of a circuit breaker (1) and magnetic flux damping characteristics that have been actually measured or estimated by analysis or the like in advance and calculates the residual magnetic flux value using the damping characteristics on the magnetic flux value when the current is interrupted, which is obtained based on the breaking characteristics of the circuit breaker (1). The circuit breaker (1) is activated at the power supply voltage phase wherein the residual magnetic flux value calculated and the theoretical value for the constant magnetic flux coincide.
