METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR RECALLING A VOICE MAIL

The present invention provides a method and system for recalling a voice mail deposited in a voice mail server. In one embodiment, a voice mail for a recipient client device and a request for associated voice mail identifier is received from a sender client device. The voice mail is successfully deposited in memory and a voice mail identifier is assigned to the deposited voice mail. A voice mail submission notification with the voice mail identifier associated with the deposited voice mail is sent to the sender client device. When a user wishes to recall the voice mail, a request to recall a voice mail deposited for the recipient client device is received from a sender client device. Accordingly, a recall action is performed on the deposited voice mail, and a status of the recall action is notified to the sender client device and/or the recipient client device.
