The method involves melting wire-like or thread like thermoplastic material in heating-type nozzle. The melted thermoplastic material is applied in the form of decorative seam structure (9) to a surface of vehicle component (5). The thermoplastic material is solidified after application on the surface of the vehicle component. The integral connection between decorative seam structure and vehicle component is formed. An independent claim is included for vehicle component.
