The trailer (14) has a frame (20) comprising a laterally openable loading base structure retainer (26) for retaining a rollable loading base structure. A lifting unit (38) is provided with an electromotive spindle drive (40) and attached to the loading base structure retainer. The lifting unit is connected to an electric power source (42) of an electrical towing vehicle (12). A control and operation unit (48) actuates the lifting unit that comprises a lifting fork carrier, where the carrier is provided with two lifting tines. The carrier is longitudinally adjustable at a lifting column. The electric power source is designed as a drive accumulator or a battery.
